Selvin looked on as his Task Force began to assemble. He was still having a hard time beliving the events of the past week. With the mobilization and reformation of the fleet, he had been promoted to Commodore and given command of a Task Force, soon to be deployed against unknown Sith and possibly a fleet of Mandalorians. The possibility of heavy combat was likely and near. Standing on the bridge of his flag ship the BattleshipJuggarnaunt, Commodore Tark could feel the power of the assembling force and the weight of the command. He had promoted his old XO to Captain, giving him the Deliverance, but he felt he lost some support from the politians as his apointment barely passed. "He now had just over two hundred ships at his command, 1/2 of a fleet." he smiled, thinking to himself. "and to think that only 1 years ago he was promoted to Captain." A voice from behind snapped him back to reality. "Commodore Tark?" Lt. Selba began, "The Jedi will arrive shortly. Would you like to meet them in the shuttle bay?" He answered with a nod, and spoke as the officer began to turn. "Lieutenant, let me know when they are enroute and direct them to shuttlebay 3."

Jaq Sytar pressed the hailing switch and spoke to the communitcations officer on board the mammoth ship looming ever closer. "RCS Juggernaunt, this is the Jedi craft, Pheonix Tail. Request permission to come aboard." "Roger, Pheonix Tail. You are cleared to land in shuttlebay three. Welcome aboard." crackled a pleasant voice over the radio. "Copy that, Juggernaunt. It's good to finally get up here." he said politely. Guiding the Tail between two frigates, Jaq saw the shuttlebay clear light come on. "Go ahead, S3. Take her in." he offered the droid. The droid immeadiately responded with a couple high pitched whistles and attached itself to the forward access terminal. Standing, he walked back to small quarters to change out of his maintenance coveralls and into a fresh robe. Smiling, knowingly sensed the formal greeting that was about to take place. As he was walking out of his room, he felt the ship set down in the shuttlebay. "I could get used to having S3 around." he thought to himself as he turn a corner into the commons area. "Ready?" he asked Arwen as he smoothed out his robe just under his belt.

"Don't worry," Arwen replied as she walked over to him. "It will probably be something small." "From what I've heard of this Tark, he does things informally but does them well. Not one for pomp and circumstance. He probably just wants us to get settled and get this expedition started."she said with a knowing tone.

"You know him?" Jaq said with a twinkle in his eye. "A big manly Navy man?" he said in a mocking voice.

Arwen shot him a glance, the edge of her mouth curling slightly. "I've worked with him before," she said innocently "a couple of years ago. Nothing like what your incenuating." The last part followed by a kick to the shin.

Flipping the ramp switch, Jaq rubbed his right shin as the ramp began to deploy. "Knowing you is painful." he said casting her an evil glance. This comment brought the smile that Arwen had been trying to hold in spread across her face. "After you." he offered holding his hand out down the ramp. "so I can save my shins from another painful kick." he whispered under his breath, causing Arwen to break out in laughter.
Watching the Pheonix Tail as it touched down, Commodore Tark noticed how new it looked even though the design was several hundreds of years old. He had heard that a ship like that had come out of hyperspace a few weeks ago, it's pilot badly injured. Although he had heard nothing further on either, he was more concerned with the ship than the pilot as all other ships of that style had been scrapped decades ago. Now one was being landed aboard his ship and it looked brand spanking new! Nodding, Selvin acknowledged an Ensign's request for the honor guard to be deployed as the Tail's ramp began to lower. Stepping closer, he began to look over the ship when a burst of laughter brought him back to reality. "Arwen Haeva" he said to himself. "Gotta watch my shins." he remebered with a slight chuckle.

Walking down the ramp, Arwen and Jaq followed by S3R4 met the Commodore and his party midway across the floor. Breaking the ice, Arwen smiled greeting the Commodore with a jibe. "Greetings, Commodore. I thought you might too busy with your task force to greet us lowly Jedi?"

"Well....., I heard that there was some individuals of ill repute coming on bored, and I came down to see if they had any Tarisian Ale I could confinscate." Selvin said with a straight face, causing some of his staff to look at him wide-eyed with disbelief.

Catching his drift, Arwen smiled. "We might have one or two bottles, but it will probably cost you." she said with a wink.

Selvin couldn't help but laugh at the Jedi's wit. "We'll see about that." he said, breaking his serious faced look with a chuckle. Turning his gaze on Jaq, he extended his hand to the new Jedi. "I believe that Miss Haeva has lost the manners that the Jedi are known for. My name is Selvin Tark. Selvin if you please or commodore if you don't." he said with a smile.

Before he could speak, Arwen came to Jaq's side and answered smartly. "This is Jaq Sytar. He was the Jedi that reported the Mandalorian attack on Nar Shadaa, fought the Mandalorian leader, and owns the ship that you've been stealing glances at.", with emphasis on the last point.

"Really?" Selven grabbing the Jedi's hand and shaking it, recieving a firm grip in response. "I have been admiring your Jaq. It is of and older design and I havn't seen any the were capable of flight, let alone space travel. Why it looks almost brand new." he exclaimed as he looked again. "May I take a closer look?" He asked, looking more like a excited mechanic than a task force commander. "Be my guest." Jaq replied turning to lead the way. "Commodore Tark!" a newly arrived lieutinant blurted out, halting the Commodore in his tracks. "I'm sorry to disturb you, sir, but the other Jedi have just arrived in the Fighter bay," he said now aware of the the twenty plus pairs of eyes that were on him."and the Admiralty would like a report." he finished nevously. "d**n!" Selvin said with a sigh. "So the duties of the the commanding officer." Turning back to Jaq Sytar he asked "Rain check?" "Sure, Commodore Tark. When you get the time." Jaq answered warmly. Turning back to Arwen, Selvin greeted her again, without jokes and addressed them both. "You may go greet your friends, but I must go do navy matters. I'll see you both later for dinner at my table?" he asked looking at Arwen then Jaq. "I'm sure Arwen will be on her best behavior." Jaq cheerfully assured him, quickly recieving a sharp glance from Arwen. "Good. Tonight then." the Commodore said as he turned and walked out the hatch, closely followed by a few aides.

"Well, that was fun." Arwen said to no one in particular. Turning to the nervous Lt., she asked, "Could you point us in the direction of that fighter bay, Lt?" "SssSure, Master Jedi!" sputtered the officer. Loosing up, he continued. "Your new Jedi Fighters are there as well!" smile spreading across his face. "They are the C-71's faster fighter in the Fleet."Sharing in the Lt.'s enthusiasim, Arwen replied, "Great!" casting a smile back to Jaq who returned it. Together, they set off for the hanger bay and the other jedi.

After a short walk, Jaq, Arwen, and S3 arrived at the fighter bay. Jaq was shocked to see the rows and rows of brand new fighters lined up along the deck. There were some of the older Aureck's, Pt-12's, and LW-7 scout ships, but there was many new fighters that he had never seen before. Catching a mechanics eye, he walked over to her and tried to get the details. "I've never seen some of these fighter before! Do you know their classifacations?" Looking him over, the mechanic shook her head and using her hands, began. "Yeah. We just had them shipped over to us. The ones to the left are XR-17's. It is a very fast fighter/bomber. The ones over there are called Z-95's. Headhunters is what the recruits are calling them." she said with a smile. "We also are getting a new bomber called the L Wing, but we havn't finished their platforms. I suppose that they are going to meet us in route to Nar Shadaa." finished, she returned to her work. Jaq thanked her and walked over to a new Z-95 to check it out.

Arwen herself had walked over to a new Z-95 and began admiring it's form. Looking back at Jaq, she saw that he was busy talking with a mechanic, apparently about the new fighters. Checking out the remainder of the hanger, Arwen caught sight of Par getting out of a new starfighter. Turning back to Jaq and seeing that he was finished with the mechanic, she called out to him. "There's Par!" she said, pointing out his direction with her hand. "I'm going to greet him and check out our new crafts. I saw two more next to him."
