"Yes please take your seat, the Council is in session." said Jar, obviously a bit frustrated with Trever's tardiness. "Today we will be discussing if we go to war or not, and who we are to assign to the Republic's newest Strike Team, if we are even going to." Jar looked around at everyone present, it made him happy to seee everryone in good spirits.

The Councilmen and women were busily thinking, jus then, Jedi Master Silas Rozees stepped forward. "I believe that the Sith are a great threat to everyone, if we do not aid the Republic they might fall." "Meessa agreesa," announced Sork Tel said. "I think war is barbaric, but necessary in this case," said Willu Talm. The rest of the Councilers agreed, the response from Master Mirsk was needed now.

Master Mirsk thinks about the topic for a minute then replies.
I believe war should be avoided if possable and yes we should not resort to barbaric means. Let us see what the sith do patience might be the key.

"You have a good point, but if the Republic is lost, we are the ones whjo must deal with the Sith alone. Why not stand with our allies against a common threat?" said Jar.

I do see your point, but if you think about it what if there is a greater threat hidden deep inside the sith. Someone who leads them but hides from them we should await for something to come up. If there is a hidden secret and it appears then we must fight.
But now if we step up what happens if we are weakened when a greater threat arises. Our doom shall be upon us. Think of history, Exar Kun was a great threat we defeated him but then the republic was weakened and the Mandalorian wars arrived. Two Jedi knights arrived and they alone defied the council and hundreds of Jedi followed. They defeated the Mandalorians and went into the unknown. When they returned they brought another sith armada that destroyed many. Do you see now by fighting one threat anouther arrived and with no patience they fought aggression with aggression and it turned out for another great threat all the sooner.

"You bring up a great point, but if we do not go to war, what will happen if another Revan or another Malak mindset arrives? We could have half of the one million Jedi follow. May I remind you, we have many more Jedi, therefore we may have many more Sith. And, another thing about going to war, The Republic is requesting four Jedi. I am going to suggest Par Dall, and his learner. It is for a program called the Republic Special Forces Strike Team. It is for counteracting the Sith. Now, anyone have suggestions for two others?" said Jar.

Well i shall look for some skilled Jedi to go into the program, but I still believe there is something greater hiding behind the sith threat. What you want to do is meet their aggression with more aggression that has never been our way. But no matter what I say it seems you will not listen.

Standing in the shadows inside the Council chamber, Jaq and Arwen could hear the diliberating. "War!" they both thought. "Could it really have come to this? Why did the council not uncover these happens before and put an end to the Sith before they had become powerful?" These questions and more bounced around in the minds of the two young Jedi as the stood in the shadows unnoticed by the Council. Jaq's feelings were mixed as he shared Master Mirsk's view but he also felt the need of the other Jedi Masters to stop the Sith threat. From Arwen, he could feel the desire to totally irraticate the Sith presence.

"I shall listen to you, I am sorry for offending you my old friend. I think we should wait, but for now just send in Jedi for the Task Force. Who agrees?" said the Jar. Most of the council agreed, a few looked a bit disgruntled. But in the Councl majority rules. The plan would be set into motion soon.

Stepping out of the shadows, Jaq, filled with wisdom throught the Force, addressed the Council, "Masters, I apologize for this intrusion but please hear my words!" Obtaining the Council's attention, he continued, as he walked to the center of the chamber. "I am the lone Jedi that was trained by Master Fae Lang through the Force. I am a newcomer to this Order even though I was trained by one of your Masters. I have heard your diliberations about this new Sith threat, and although I have felt the same reservations as Master Mirsk, but I believe that it is in the galaxy's and Republic's best interest that this threat be stopped and these Sith be converted or destroyed. If left uncheck, their unbridled lust for power will eventually lead them to the Core systems and their influence will be much harder to erase." Pausing, he turned and in doing so, obtained eye contact as he spoke. "However, our actions must be inconcert with the will of the Living Force and not be conducted without adaquate preparation and halfheartedly. The Council has experienced this before with the Jedi Knight, Revan. In that time, the Order was almost destroyed. First by the split of the Order and secondly by the Civil War between those two factions. The Council must adequately judge the mettle of themselves and also that of the Knights. Pausing again, he began to see some nods of agreement. Continuing, Jaq began. "This is especially important if a strike team is to be sent. These Jedi will be subject to dealings with enemies that have been trained in the Force. How many Jedi do we have that are experienced lightsaber combat with a Sith? Or a Sith Lord? Are they strong enough to counter Darkside Force powers?" he said, still making eye contact with random masters. "This team must contain strong Jedi with skills that compliment the others in the party. Even then, it may not be enough." his voice trailing off. "Once again, I apologize for the interuption. I have spoken what the Force compeld me to say and what you needed to hear. Search your feelings on this matter and you'll know that to be the truth." Finished, Jaq stepped back to the edge of the light where Arwen now stood.

"Know your place young Sytar, never intrude on our meeting again, do I make myself clear? If this were the Grandmaster before me, you may have been exiled for such foolishness. You have broken a sacred law that the Jedi of old have laid forth. A Jedi that is not on the High Council is never permitted to come into ths room without consent of a Council Master. These meetings are never to be interrupted. I am letting you off with a warning, do not do it again," said Jar, his words stern but not angered, "he does speak some truth, but as Master Mirsk has said before, when has it ever been our way to charge blindly in to a conflict? Even though the Darkness of the Sith is encroaching , forth....We must be ready to keep the Order together if worst comes to worst. There are aging Jedi that have fought the Sith before, Master Tel, along with twenty or thirty masters have fought he Sith during the New Sith Wars. Master Tel is a veteran of Ruusan, maybe he should instruct the team on proper techniques to fighting Sith. Master Tel will you do this?"
"Meessaa weel bee very happissaa to train da Strike Team." said Sork.
"Good, now I chose Par and Sylas because they have seen the Sith, they have battled them on a few occasions. Maybe they have insight on how they can be combated?" said Jar.
Par walked to where Sylas was asleep and woke him with the Force. "We have training to do my Padawan, I must teach you some techniques and elements of Makashi," said Par.

With a somber smile, Arwen snickered at Jaq when he returned to her side. "Nice Job, Master Sytar."
